New Recipe – Grilled Chicken and Avocado Salad

Grilled Chicken and Avocado Salad is a meal for spring and summer! It is made with green lettuce, cucumbers, red onion, avocado and grilled chicken, dressed with a light dressing of lemon-olive oil.

This protein-rich salad is an excellent choice for a light lunch or a light dinner!


It’s healthy, easy to prepare, incredibly delicious and it’s ready in only a few minutes.

This salad is one of my family favorites! Sometimes I make this recipe with cherry tomatoes and pepper, or I also have this chicken avocado salad with lime and cilantro. Holy wow! Much yummy!

If you don’t have a grill or barbecue, you can, however, make this Grilled Chicken and Avocado Salad using a cast iron grill pan:

I’m not going to lie. Almost every time we (le me and le wife) have grill meat, chicken and fish in our house, I am the one who does it because I enjoy the BBQ. She always prepares the salad, avocado salad in this case.

But when it’s rainy, I use my cast iron grill pan for the stovetop.

I like mine because it is very safe to use it on all types of heat sources, including gas, electric and induction, and in the oven is safe up to 500F.

Grilled Chicken and Avocado Salad | THE RECIPE


for the chicken breast

  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 2 small chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper

for the salad

  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced
  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • ½ cup red onions, sliced
  • 5 cups lettuce, chopped

for the salad dressing

  • A pinch of red crushed pepper
  • 1 lemon (you will need 1 tablespoon)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste


for the chicken

  • Season chicken with hot sauce, salt and pepper.
  • Put chicken on a lubed grill or grill pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on all sides, or till the chicken is cooked.
  • Leave the chicken breast to chill, slice it and set aside.

for the creamy avocado chicken salad

  • In a big salad dish, add first the lettuce and then top it with cucumber, red onions, and avocado.
  • In a mason jar, drain the juice out of a lemon (only 1 tablespoon) and add olive oil. Add salt and pepper and red crushed pepper. Mix everything. Continue to mix while streaming in the olive oil. Taste to check the seasoning and pour over the salad.
  • Add the sliced breast chicken. Enjoy Your NO Mayo Avocado Chicken Salad!
